Foodbank now open three afternoons a week!   5/10/20

We are excited to announce that now that we have central Government support for our service, we are able to extend our Foodbank opening hours to increase our service to the community.  Foodbank is now open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12.30 to 2.30.  We really recommend you come on a Tuesday or Thursdsay if possible, as Friday generally gets very busy.  :)

Technical Difficulties Resolved- 02/07/2020
Kia ora all - we apologose for the interupation to our services on the 2nd and 3rd of July while a major fix was applied to our fibre connection. Thanks Chorus for a quick fix, to Inspire Net and B & M security for assistance, and the PNMSS team for putting up with significant work interuption. connection.  

Services Fully Open - 18/06/2020
Counselling, Social Work, and Foodbank services are now open.   PTS is being offered  in-house, and SMA and CLG will commence in Term 3.
Foodbank is now open again on Tuesday and Friday 12.30 to 2.30. 
Sending well-ness wishes to all our clients and supporters.  We've got this New Zealand.

27th Annual Fooddrive coming soon!  The 2019 Fooddrive organised by the Central District Lions will be held on Saturday the 30th of November 2019.  Thanks again to the hundreds of volunteers who will be taking to the streets to collect food, and the thousands who will be donating, to help our fellow Palmy peeps in their vulnerable moments.

Welcoming 3 of our 4 new trustees who have join us over the course of this year; Robyn Scott, Rachel Utikere, and Pat Handcock.
Robyn has extensive experience in Social Work and Counselling in particular in a health setting; Rachel has a nursing background with a special interest in public health nursing; and Pat's background is in the Police with a special interest in positive community outcomes.
Not photographed is out other new trustee Peter Glensor who is the Chair of Wesley Community Action in Wellington, and on the board of Lifewise in Auckland (two large Social Service organisations in the Methodist Alliance).

Thanks sooo much to Menzshed Manawatu for these wonderful planter boxes to tidy up our entrance.  With the afternoon sun on these boxes of flowers and veges, we are hoping for lots of colour this winter!  And thanks to our Chairperson Cathy for arranging for this to happen!
